Checking in for the Healthy You Challenge and letting you know that I will not be weighing in until Thursday this week. We didn't have our normal meeting yesterday because of the holiday, so I am going on Thursday to weigh in.
I had a bowl of lucky charms this morning for breakfast and I have a salad with feta cheese, turkey bacon, and lite raspberry walnut vinaigrette as well as a Del Monte Harvest Selections Chili with Beans that has 2 full vegetable servings in it. It's only 6 points and very filling and deilcious. :D We are having salad, rice and pork loin for dinner tonight, so that will be my lunch tomorrow. YUM! I am trying to focus on getting all my water in for the day before I leave work.
Well, I'll update again on Friday to let you know how my weigh-in went on Thursday!

Gain...big time!
So I totally just threw the ww plan out the window last week. It showed on the scale with a 2.8 pound gain. OOPS O:) Oh well, I deserved it and I'm still struggling to get back on plan completely. I'm going to start walking again at lunch and I'm going home tonight to start using my Total Gym again. I am in a wedding in 11 weeks and another one 6 weeks later. I want to look great in both weddings and know I can tone up by then!! I've got to get focused on my eating and working out. I'm going to get back into my water too. I've been drinking Crystal Light at home, but I've still had diet coke and sweet tea this week too. Time to start cutting it out a bit more!!
Anyway, here's my late HYC check-in!! Better late than never though!

I'm shocked!!...and my HYC check-in...
Ok, so I weighed in last night fully expecting a HUGE gain and somehow, I managed to maintain!!! I am so pumped! Jason got the Total Gym set up last night, so I spent about 20 minutes trying it out. I'm going to work on it for hopefully 45 minutes tonight. The only problem I have with it is that we don't have the foot straps for it, so I'm trying to find these online. So far, I haven't had any luck. If nothing else, I'll just call the company and see if they can sell them to me separately. They also have an ab crunch thing and some press up and dip bars that you can buy too. I'm going to look into it once I get the hang of the basics on this thing.
My throat has been pretty scratchy lately, so I hope I'm not trying to get a sinus infection. Right now, it's just my throat that's bothering me. We'll see how it goes.
My daughter is so close to crawling. Maybe she'll decide to do it tomorrow for her 9-month birthday! I think Jason will have to spend some time completely baby-proofing the house tomorrow since he's off!! We had the basics done, but now it's time for the nitty gritty. ;)
I picked up the May issue of "Cooking Light" magazine yesterday. It has so many great looking recipes. I'll try to post the recipes I try and a review as we get to them. There is a recipe for Three Cheese Baked Penne that looks amazing. If you get a chance, check out this month's issue!!

Mother's Day...
Yesterday was my first "official" mother's day. My daughter was born August 14, 2007, so this was my first Mother's Day with her in my arms. I still count last year as my first mother's day b/c I was a mother. Anyway, Abby gave me my Mother's Day present a day early. Saturday morning, she said, "Mama" for the first time!!! I was and still am so excited!!! :D
My Mother's Day went really well. We got up and went to church and then over to my parents' house for hamburgers and cake (My sister graduated from college this weekend and we were eating leftovers from her party). My sister gave me a gorgeous bracelet from Things Remembered with Abby's initials on it. My husband got me an iPod Nano!!! It should be here sometime this week. We ordered one from Apple.com that's refurbished. I wanted a pink one, but they don't make the 4 gb in pink. I got the refurbished 8gb pink one for the same price as a brand new 4gb!!! I can't wait for it to get here so I can use it!! :D
Anyway, I'm really not looking forward to my weigh in tonight. I had hamburgers and cake twice this weekend, Jason fixed a steak for dinner last night (which I thoroughly enjoyed), and I haven't been drinking my water like I should. I also met some friends at McAlister's Deli for lunch and had a baked potato and chili. Delicious, but not the healthiest item on the menu... My goal for this week is to get back into drinking 2 liters of water each day. We brought the Total Gym home with us on Friday, but haven't had time to get it into the house yet. It's just sitting out in the garage. I am going to ask my husband to get it set up in the basement tonight before I get home from my WW meeting so I can work out on it tonight or tomorrow.
Well, I'll update everyone on my WI tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I talked to my mother-in-law yesterday afternoon and she told me she got a Total Gym at a garage sale for $20! She doesn't have room for it, but she's going to sell it to us for $20!!! I am so excited about this b/c I don't have to go anywhere to workout now. :D

Another .4 gone!!!
Woo Hoo!!! I lost another .4 pounds last night bringing me to 176.6. My goal for this week is to lose 1 pound. I know that is easily doable and I am super excited and motivated to do it!! I would love to be as close to 170 as possible by Memorial Day. I don't expect to lose 6.6 pounds in the next 3 weeks, as nice as that would be, my body just doesn't lose weight that way. I am aiming for at least 1 pound a week, and maybe I'll lose more. ;)
My goal is to get back into walking on my lunch breaks this week. I can't do it today because I donated blood this morning, but I'm definitely bringing my shoes the rest of this week! I joined the Healthy You Challenge and I am so excited about it!! I really hope it will keep me on track. Well, I don't really have too much else to say. I hope everyone has a great OP week!!!
